Who we are....

AHS-African Horse Sickness - the equine challenge is South Africa's largest Facebook Community based support group for African Horse Sickness with over 11000 members.  It is administrated with love and patience by people volunteering their own time and resources for the good of our horses.

Our mission is to provide helpful information and support in times of crisis. We have  built this website to condense information about this dreaded disease where horse lovers and owners can obtain useful insights and advice from those who have experienced the pain and terror of African Horse Sickness in their beloved horses and also to create awareness in our communities. Together we can make a difference and keep fighting this awful disease. Our information is by no means complete as research on AHS is still developing.

We are not an official organisation and neither claim to be.  Please see Disclaimer at bottom of the page.
